Gratitude Day 10: The Beach

I would not consider myself a nature-girl.  I don’t hike, fish, camp, ski or whatever. I tried them, not my thing. One place I love to be, however, is the beach. A room with a view for me is a necessity, not a commodity.  I need to fall asleep and wake up seeing this indescribable work of art, sit on the balcony, sip a cup of coffee and eat fresh fruit with my love.

There is something majestic about the orchestration of the ocean, the sound of the waves crashing together, swaying back and forth, how the seagulls chime in at just the right moment and a gush of wind invokes the perfect crescendo that brings peace to my soul

No need to travel far away to exotic islands. It doesn’t have to be warm and sunny. I am content with the pacific coast in the sun or rain, for a few days or one night away from the noise, a place of solitude.

Come to think of it, maybe I am a nature-girl.
